Biography:
Yaser Damchi was born in Babol, Iran, in 1983. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Zanjan University, Zanjan, Iran, in 2006 and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Power Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Mashhad, Iran, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. Currently, he is an associate professor at Shahrood University of Technology, Shahrood, Iran. His research interests are power system protection, transient analysis, and reliability analysis. He has served as the scientific chair of the 18th International Conference on Protection & Automation in Power Systems (IPAPS2024) in 2024. He has published more than 20 papers in SCI journals and collaborated on more than 10 industrial projects as a project manager or project team member.
